Sharp has announced the establishment of Sharp DX in Utrecht, bringing all European IT activities together within one central organization. In total, more than 500 IT professionals will now operate under this new structure, while local teams per country will remain intact. From this combined approach, Sharp currently supports over 1,500 organizations and more than 40,000 users across Europe. This lays the foundation for further scaling without losing local market knowledge.
The new organizational form is focused on combining European consistency with local flexibility. This enables Sharp to serve customers in multiple countries with integrated IT services, while still allowing room to respond to specific market demands. That balance is essential as organizations increasingly operate in international environments and require uniform IT support. Sharp thus strengthens its position as a technology and service partner for digital transformation for both medium-sized and large organizations.
This step builds on a series of strategic investments and acquisitions over the past five years. Sharp has expanded its IT portfolio in Europe through companies such as Complete IT in the United Kingdom, ITpoint in Switzerland, and Apsia in France, Spain, and Italy. By integrating these parties within Sharp DX, a more cohesive service offering with broader technical expertise is created. This enables more consistent and efficient support for customers, regardless of their geographical distribution.
With the introduction of Sharp DX, Sharp's positioning clearly shifts from traditional IT supplier to managed service provider. This responds to the growing demand for one central IT partner for organizations operating in multiple European countries. The new structure makes it easier to standardize and scale services, while customers benefit from a single point of contact for their IT environment. This not only delivers operational efficiency but also helps organizations accelerate their digital transformation.
To support this strategy, Sharp is further investing in its European Technology Support Centre in Warsaw. This location serves as a hub for European services and provides support to customers at any time of the day, in nine different languages. The company also aims to double the number of employees at this location within two years. This will further expand capacity to accommodate growing customer demands.
Also on the technological front, Sharp strengthens its position. The company has achieved all six Microsoft Solutions Partner recognitions within the Microsoft AI Cloud Partner Program, underscoring its collaboration with Microsoft. These certifications confirm that Sharp is capable of implementing advanced cloud and AI solutions within complex IT environments. For organizations, this means access to scalable and future-proof technologies that directly contribute to innovation and efficiency.
"With Sharp DX, we are taking a clear step from IT supplier to partner for digital transformation," says Wilbert Hendriks, Manager Marketing & Strategy Benelux. "We bring our expertise together in one European approach while remaining close to the customer locally. This way, we can support organizations more consistently in modernizing, securing, and optimizing their IT environment.
