That is exactly what ASUS has done with the ASUSPRO P2530UA. The notebook looks beautifully simple. It sounds negative, but it is anything but. We are talking about a dark and business-like notebook. The plastic material from which the device is made is quite sturdy.
Although we obviously haven't tested it, we suspect that the device can withstand quite a bit, should you drop it. The notebook is available with various specifications. You can choose from a model with an Intel Core i3, i5, or i7 CPU, internal memory up to 16GB, and storage up to 1TB (HDD) or 256GB (SSD). A DVD drive is optional.
The screen measures 15.6 inches and has a full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080. With an anti-glare coating, it is pleasant to work on the display. However, colors do fade somewhat when you are not sitting directly in front of the notebook. Whether this is a problem depends on you, but thanks to the anti-glare, you can work well everywhere, even outside or in bright light environments. In terms of connectivity, the P2530UA does not disappoint. You have access to three USB 3.0 ports, one USB 2.0 port, a LAN port, an HDMI port, and a VGA port. You will also find a combined in/out jack on the device to connect a wired headset.
The notebook works wonderfully in one word. The only thing we could really criticize was the weight, but even that is not dramatic. The keyboard is beautifully designed. ASUS places slightly more space than most manufacturers between its keys, which makes keystrokes more accurate. However, the keys felt very light, making typing a bit of an adjustment despite the relatively deep travel. Very pleasant is the fast startup time, thanks to the SSD storage. Handy too when you are not on the road for long, but still want to get some work done.
It goes without saying that you want your data well protected. Everything has been done to achieve this with this notebook. First of all, the fingerprint reader, which locks direct access to your notebook. Additionally, you can optionally install a TPM module and ASUS provides Business Manager software. This is incredibly convenient software when you, as a business user, want to protect your notebook and your data without too much knowledge of IT security.
