ASUS Republic of Gamers GeForce RTX

After raising the bar for gaming performance and visual quality on desktops, the NVIDIA GeForce RTX series is ready to do the same for laptops. The new Turing architecture goes mobile, and ASUS Republic of Gamers has a diverse lineup to meet the needs of every gamer. The NVIDIA GeForce RTX series from ROG showcases ASUS's commitment to improving every aspect of gaming laptops. The laptops are filled with incredibly fast displays, framed by astonishingly thin bezels, enhancing the experience and pulling you deeper into your favorite games.

Advanced cooling ensures maximum performance with minimal acoustics and lets you choose between system profiles tailored to different scenarios. Add advanced components and exclusive ROG features, and you have the right foundation for a complete family that stands out from the rest. A desktop replacement like the ROG G703 emphasizes performance over portability with a traditional clamshell. This model is accompanied by the ultra-thin ROG Zephyrus S GX531, which has been expanded to go beyond gaming. Finally, the ROG Strix SCAR II and Hero II return to the esports arena with portable form factors filled with tournament-quality hardware.

ROG G703

The ROG G703 is powered by 8th Generation Intel Core processors with an optional factory-overclocked Intel Core i9-8950HK processor for speeds of up to 4.8 GHz. Sticking to a traditional 17-inch laptop size requires better cooling and a thicker chassis to achieve the same performance as its deep-breathing brother. The larger heatsinks and fans are so effective that the G703 can keep pace, despite having much less room to breathe. The ROG G703 features an IPS-level display with a refresh rate of 144Hz, a response time of 3ms gray-to-gray (GTG), and NVIDIA G-SYNC for unprecedented smooth gameplay – even with graphics settings on Ultra. The G703 also features HyperDrive Extreme storage, which uses exclusive technology to combine three NVMe PCI Express (PCIe) SSDs in RAID 0 configuration for read speeds of up to 8700MB/s – the fastest ever on a laptop.

Sticking to a familiar design provides a different kind of versatility. The ROG G703 is on your lap in no time, which for some makes the difference between meeting and missing a deadline, especially when you're on location or on the go. The G703 is equipped with the latest technology and features.

ROG Zephyrus S GX531

It is extraordinarily difficult to fit high-quality gaming components into an ultra-thin laptop – especially when you aim for a thinner chassis than ever before – but the Zephyrus S GX531 delivers a remarkably compact casing, a testament to ROG's technical prowess. The sleek exterior is nearly 15mm thin and utilizes a 15.6-inch display with super narrow bezels, allowing you to easily slip the system into bags designed for laptops with much less brute force. The ROG Zephyrus S GX531 shrinks its profile without lowering the specifications. You get advanced components like the latest Intel Core i7-8750H CPU, a premium 144 Hz refresh rate display, plus all the essential ROG features. They are packed into a slimmer package, missing some extras that are available in the new compact 17-inch ROG Zephyrus S GX701. This makes the smaller Zephyrus S a more focused alternative for those who prioritize portability over everything else.

ROG Strix

ROG Strix takes a more mainstream middle ground between beastly desktop replacements and premium ultra-thin gaming laptops. The Strix form factor unites performance and portability with designs that stand out from the crowd. At the same time, the super-thin bezels seamlessly connect, allowing you to easily experience the action on the screen. Your hands feel right at home on the desktop-inspired keyboard, which comes with dedicated hotkeys for volume, mute, and Armory Crate. The improved lighting spreads the beautiful glow not only to the ROG logo on the lid but also to a diffuse strip that runs across the front of the laptop. This light bar casts an Aura Sync glow into your environment and offers a wide range of customization options.

The latest ROG Strix gaming laptops are available with six-core Intel Core i7-8750H processors, supported by up to 32GB of RAM. They combine fast solid-state drives with a terabyte of additional mechanical capacity that provides plenty of space for larger game libraries. The extra hard drive can also be swapped out for a faster SSHD that caches data to speed up load times.

ROG Strix SCAR II

The ROG Strix is built for the FPS side of the esports arena and is available in 15.6-inch and 17.3-inch models with a 144Hz refresh rate and 3ms response time. Both versions are draped in a shooter-inspired motif that uses camouflage to create a unique aesthetic fit. Highlighted WASD keys reinforce the SCAR's origins and make it easy to find your way in FPS games.

The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 graphics card gives the 15-inch SCAR II GL504GV and 17-inch SCAR II GL704GV enough horsepower to generate triple-digit frame rates in popular shooters. Serious gamers can also upgrade to the GeForce RTX 2070; the SCAR II GL504GW and GL704GW offer this more powerful graphics card with both screen sizes, providing extra performance for competitive gaming, demanding AAA titles, and advanced VR experiences. Choose between a larger 17-inch display that is more immersive and a compact 15-inch display that is more portable.

ROG Strix Hero II

The ROG Strix Hero II is optimized for MOBAs and ideal for gamers who want a subtler styling. The contrasting structures and cyber-text patterns are more understated than the aggressive aesthetics of the SCAR II, making the Hero II more accessible to a broader audience. Instead of highlighting the WASD cluster, translucent keys add an extra shine to the QWER row. The Hero is exclusively available with GeForce RTX 2060 graphics, which is more than sufficient to achieve high frame rates in MOBAs and other popular games. Like the SCAR II, NVIDIA Optimus technology saves energy by activating the discrete GPU only when needed, giving you longer battery life and better gaming performance day in and day out.
