As part of the partnership, the Anapaya CORE and Anapaya GATE products will be integrated into NL-ix's exchange environment, aiming to provide European ISPs and their customers with secure, sovereign, and stable network access. By integrating SCION – the next-gen internet architecture – into NL-ix's extensive interconnection platform, the companies offer a DDoS-resistant and route-controlled alternative to the current vulnerable internet routing model.
"Europe has one of the most advanced and interconnected digital ecosystems in the world. By collaborating with NL-ix, we can extend the benefits of SCION – such as security, certainty, and reliability – to a larger number of internet providers and organizations", says Martin Bosshardt, CEO of Anapaya. "Together, we ensure that the pan-European market has the opportunity to transition from traditional IP routing to a new model of sovereign and predictable internet connectivity."
Partners and customers of NL-ix will benefit from better protection against DDoS attacks, a deterministic way of routing, and secure access to data centers, while maintaining performance and sovereignty. SCION enables end-to-end control over data flows, keeping data traffic within trusted ecosystems and network segments.
"Our mission is to become the leading European Business Exchange, and SCION is a crucial step in the development of our company to achieve this strategic objective", says Jan Hoogenboom, CEO and founder of NL-ix.
The partnership marks a new significant milestone in the expansion of the SCION ecosystem in Europe, following implementations in Switzerland and other key European markets. It supports the growing demand for sovereign, cyber-resilient networking solutions for critical infrastructures – from finance to energy and governments – seeking robust protection against global cyber threats.
